Hello, Norfolk explorers! 👋 How is half term going in your house so far? If you’re starting to run out of ideas, don’t panic. Our February half-term guide is packed with family-friendly activities across Norfolk and might just save the day. Did you get any snow over the weekend? We had plenty in Norwich (check out our video here), although none of it stuck around for long. It did feel very fitting watching Team GB bring home two gold medals while it was swirling outside. It’s not all half-term chaos this week though. There’s a beer festival, a huge wedding show, snowdrops still going strong and plenty more ⬇️ ✨ What's Happening Around Norfolk This Week?Acle Winter Beer Festival (20 - 22 February)Back for its fifth year and set to be the biggest yet, with more than 20 breweries taking part. It’s happening at Acle Academy and entry is free. Expect cider, gin, wine, soft drinks and both hot and cold food across the weekend. Get more information here. Cabaret Extreme (18 - 21 February) A bold mix of burlesque, drag, jaw-dropping stunts and modern circus at the Hippodrome in Great Yarmouth. Created by the team behind some of the world’s biggest circus hits. Daytime shows are family-friendly, evening shows are adults only. Get discounted tickets through Groupon here. Glow Your Own Way (21 February)Freshly Greated brings this free community festival to Magdalen Square in Gorleston. Expect art installations, films and interactive activities designed to brighten up a winter evening. Get more information here. East Anglia Wedding Show (21 - 22 February)Planning a wedding? This is one of the largest gatherings of wedding experts in East Anglia, all under one roof. From bridal wear and venues to florists, caterers and entertainment, you’ll find plenty of inspiration. King’s Lynn Fairground Mart (14 - 28 February)Tuesday Market Place transforms into a traditional funfair celebrating King’s Lynn’s fairground heritage. Rides, stalls and that nostalgic fairground atmosphere right in the heart of town. Get more details here. Norwich Science Festival (14 - 21 February)One of Norwich’s biggest and most popular festivals returns, offering hands-on science fun for all ages. Expect shows, exhibitions, talks, and activities designed to spark curiosity and creativity. Learn more here. Teddy Bear Express (14 - 21 February)A half-term favourite on the Bure Valley Railway. Children can enjoy a themed activity during the journey, and kids travel free with a full fare-paying adult. The Whistlestop Café joins in with festive decorations too. Pre-booking is advisable but not required. Get more information here. Walsingham Abbey Snowdrops (26 January - 1 March) One of the best places to see snowdrops in Norfolk. Wander the Abbey grounds, ruins, Crypt, museum, and prison while enjoying one of the first signs of spring.
