Snowdrops are out and February is starting to look good

Hello, Norfolk explorers! 👋

I hope you’re doing well. January is nearly behind us, the snowdrops are out, and it finally feels like things are starting to turn a corner.

This week brings a nice mix of winter calm and early signs of spring. Think snowdrop walks, a cosy board game convention, and the last of this year’s Burns Night celebrations. It’s also a good moment to look ahead, with February half-term, the Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day, beer festivals, and peak snowdrop season just around the corner. Read more about what's happening in Norfolk in February here.

Over the weekend, we visited the open day at Chestnut Farm near Sheringham. It might not have the biggest display in Norfolk, but with over 100 different varieties of snowdrops, it’s a brilliant place to actually learn what you’re looking at. Each variety was clearly labelled, which made it especially interesting. The ones pictured above are trumps. If you missed it, they have another open day coming up on 22 February.

One last reminder too that there are only a few days left to take advantage of the special January deals from local Norfolk businesses. We’ve rounded them all up here if you’d like to make the most of them.

Here’s what’s happening around Norfolk over the next few days ⬇️
