Hello, Norfolk explorers! 👋 I hope your February is off to a great start. The snowdrops are really putting on a show now and peak bloom is just around the corner. This week’s snowdrop photo was taken in the churchyard of St. Margaret’s in Thorpe Market. Every Sunday in February is Snowdrop Sunday there, with plenty of blooms alongside homemade cakes, hot drinks, and local artwork. It’s a simple, lovely way to spend a winter afternoon. There’s also plenty happening around Norfolk this week, from record hunting and beer festivals to running events, snowdrop walks, and even Super Bowl watch parties. Valentine’s Day is coming up too, and February half term is just around the corner, so now’s a good time to start planning ahead. Here’s what’s happening around Norfolk over the next few days ⬇️ ✨ What's Happening Around Norfolk This Week?Norwich Record Fair (7 February)The Norwich Record Fair, organised by VIP Record Fairs, has moved to The Forum while The Halls remain closed. Expect sellers from across the UK offering everything from rare finds to bargain bins, with genres ranging from prog rock and punk to soul and hip hop. Get more information here. Super Bowl (8 February)The big game might be played in the US, but you don’t have to watch it alone. Several venues across Norfolk are showing the Super Bowl, or you can stay cosy at home as it will be televised on ITV and Sky. See our list of places to watch the Super Bowl in Norfolk. This much loved race returns to Easton College with its friendly atmosphere and scenic route. It’s always a sell out and, due to local road changes, this could be the last time the current course is used. Get more information here. Valentine Beer Festival at Trafford Arms (9 - 15 February)Still going strong for more than 25 years, The Valentine Beer Festival at the Trafford Arms in Norwich will have 50+ beers for you to try, including plenty of local brews. Get more information on their Facebook page here. Walsingham Abbey Snowdrops (26 January - 1 March) One of the best places to see snowdrops in Norfolk. Wander the Abbey grounds, ruins, Crypt, museum, and prison while enjoying one of the first signs of spring.
