Norwich Wine Week (19 - 28 June)Norwich turns into a bit of a wine playground, with bars and restaurants across the city offering special menus, pairings and tasting events for a limited time. It’s a great chance to try something new, revisit a favourite spot, or discover somewhere you haven’t been yet, with options to suit most budgets. Hunstanton Carnival (19 - 21 June)Hunstanton Carnival is a weekend full of non-stop fun! There will be live music with The Party on The Green on Friday and Saturday and the carnival parade on Sunday. (19 & 26 June)This murder mystery evening aboard the Southern Comfort paddle steamer in Horning brings a bit of Agatha Christie-style drama to the Broads. Expect an interactive night of suspicious characters, twists, food, and plenty of laughs as you try to work out whodunnit while cruising along the river. Get more information here. Hanseatic Festival of Watersports (20 -21 June)Get ready as the Hanseatic Festival of Watersports returns to the River Great Ouse in King’s Lynn. Spectators can enjoy the thrilling action of Formula 1, 2, and 3 water-ski racing, jet ski demonstrations, and offshore power boats. This free event draws inspiration from the famous Diamond Race in Antwerp, Belgium. Alongside the races, there will be family activities, live music, a firework display, and special flypasts by iconic aircraft. Get more information here. Great Yarmouth Wheels Festival (20 -21 June)Come and see classic classic and contemporary vehicles of all sorts including bikes, cars, trucks, scooters and anything else with wheels along the Great Yarmouth seafront from Britannia Pier to the Pleasure Beach. Maritime Heritage Festival & Flotilla (20 -21 June)The annual Maritime Heritage Festival and Flotilla, hosted by charity Rescue Wooden Boats, celebrates historic wooden working boats with a flotilla on the water. The weekend includes live music from sea shanty groups, a knot-tying workshop, Gansey knitting displays, street food, a licensed bar, and displays from Wells Sea Cadets. Vintage Day and Classic Car Show (20 June)This community event brings together classic cars and motorbikes, vintage stalls and demonstrations, live music, children’s activities, and plenty of food and drink. Hellesdon Summer Fayre (20 June)A free summer fayre at Hellesdon Recreation Ground, organised by Hellesdon Parish Council in partnership with The Best of Norfolk. THREADS Festival (13 - 21 June) THREADS is a week-long festival of craft, history, music, and storytelling inspired by North Walsham's heritage and the events of 1381. Norwich City of Ale (21 May – 22 June)Take part in a month-long celebration of pubs and brewers with 7 different ale trails where you can collect stamps. It all starts with a launch party at the Waterfront in Norwich. Get more information here. Lynn Chadwick at Houghton Hall (2 May - 4 October) Houghton Hall will host a major sculpture exhibition by celebrated British artist Lynn Chadwick CBE. Featuring 30 works from the 1950s to the 1990s, the exhibition includes some of his best-known sculptures as well as rarely seen pieces, displayed across the house and grounds. It will be the UK’s largest exhibition of Chadwick’s work in more than 20 years. Hello Norfolk explorers 👋 We hope you're having a great week. Last weekend was all about chasing poppies for us! It's incredible how many amazing poppy fields there are in Norfolk this year. I think my favourite was the one by Kelling (pictured above), which has a sea view and where we were lucky enough to see a rainbow. The poppy field near Blakeney was also impressive, and there are too many around Courtyard Farm near Ringstead to count. We took so many photos that we're still sharing them...

Ok, maybe it was a little too hot at times, but hopefully you managed to stay cool and enjoy some time outdoors. We spent part of the weekend at the Norwich Games Festival, which was great fun, and also got out for a riverside walk and another visit to Sheringham Park.
